EASTERN AMATEUR ARABIAN HORSE CIRCUIT

2004 HORSE OF THE YEAR
Congratulations Shirley Craig & Country Cinderela!
Country Cinderela is the daughter of Imperial Mandan and Country Delite. As a youngster, Cindy enjoyed human company as much as her pasture mates. She developed a sweet, affectionate personality. But accepting training was quite another matter! Being extremely sensitive and, at times down right opinionated, the finer points of training required quite a lot of trying a variety of methods to reach my goals. Cindy's first trip away from the farm was to the EAAHSC show in Bel Air. She calmly walked off the trailer, looked around, realized this was not home and decided she did not want to be there! For the next two hours I tried to convince Cindy that everything that moved was not a horse-eating monster! Cindy was so traumatized I had serious doubt of competing in any classes. She was not believing on reassuring word I was saying! Trusting in the fact that Cindy comes from a family of wonderful performance horses, I decided to simply wait for her to come to grips with the reality that nothing was hurting her. Gradually Cindy regained her composure and the transformation was amazing. As the classes were called to order Cindy trotted calmly in the ring and was on her way to being another wonderful partner.

Cindy has been a interesting puzzle to figure out. She resisted training ideas that worked on so many others. But the end result is what matters. True to her heritage, Cindy has become a versatile champion.

We are proud to earn the honer of being named the 2004 High Point Horse of the Year!
